UNBOXED
This Locomotive is in Excellent Running and Cosmetic Condition - but please note the Coupling Bar (and therefore hook) have been cut off at one end (see the photos). This gives the loco, in fact, a more realistic look!
Lima Locomotives are very well weighted - which gives them Excellent Traction and Pulling Power.
This loco can be converted to DCC for an additional cost of only $30.00. Simply choose the DCC option in the 'Available Options' above.
The Class 47 is a class of British railway Diesel Locomotive which was developed in the 1960s by Brush Traction. A total of 512 Class 47s were built between 1962 and 1968, which made them the most numerous class of British mainline diesel locomotive. They have been used to haul both passenger and freight trains on Britain's railways for over 40 years. A significant number of Class 47 Diesels are still in use, both on the mainline and on heritage railways. Presently 79 locomotives still exist as Class 47s, with others of the Class having been converted to other classes. Thirty-three are engaged on active work on the mainline.
