Taken from a set the Controller comes Unboxed.

This Hornby R965 Train Controller controls the direction and speed of a locomotive.
Output is 0-12v DC to the track to control the speed of the train. A flick of the switch changes the train's direction. It also has a non-variable 16v AC output for power-switched points, signals and other accessories.

Note: This controller must never be connected directly to the mains electricity supply. It must be connected via a transformer (the C990 Hornby Transformer is available on this site).
