Since the introduction of the first game in 2004, Need For Speed has established itself as the ultimate driving video game. It offers a world of non-stop and action-packed excitement. The Scalextric 'NEED for SPEED' set continues the thrills and spills!

This set covers an area of 2.10 metres x 1.40 metres. The linear length of the track is over 5 metres (Track Length = 532 cm). It also includes a Flying Leap Ramp so the famous chase scenes from the game can be re-created.

This Need For Speed set features a Lamborghini Gallardo and a Nissan 350Z. They are both 'Super Resistant' cars which mean they are tough enough for full impact racing. The cars feature easy change pick-ups and Magnatraction - powerful magnets which help the cars hug the track for fast, action packed racing. The NISSAN 350Z is a Drift/Standard Car. It comes with two small screws beside the Drift Guide Blade. While these are in place the Car behaves like a standard slot car. However, removing the two screws and adjusting the position of the Magnet converts this Car into a Sensational Drift Car!!! Drift Cars simulate real racing by sliding - or drifting - as they race through corners. Drift cars provide the thrills of wild cornering and 360-degree spins!!!
